Siba Sankar Mohanty

Siba Sankar Mohanty has been associated with the Network for Social Accountability (NSA) since August 2008 as an honorary Research Advisor and as a Policy Director-Social Exclusion and Discrimination. He has been involved in the field of Public Policy Analysis since 1997 with several organizations. He has undertaken extensive empirical work on education, agriculture, environmental degradation, poverty and inequality in India and other countries. As a part of his commitment to democratize debate on public policy issues, he has been involved in the training and capacity building of more than 1500 activists, civil society representatives and students in different parts of the country. During his last association with New Delhi based  Centre for Budget and Governance Accountability (CBGA), he was involved in several activities like Organization development, Research, Advocacy and Capacity Building. His major areas of interest include ecological economics, government budgets and public finance, education and health economics and labour economics. As a part of NSA, he expressed a deep interest in further investigating the issues related to political economy of social exclusion and discrimination.
